*muse day.

Question: Is it possible for an enormous work project to cross one's desk prior to 3 p.m.?

Question: Are there fairies dancing in the Woodside backyard, and if so, are they the wish-granting sort?

fairy ring.

Question: If one stares at an enormous work project with just the right mixture of resentment and panic, will said project complete itself?

Question: Why are the prettiest things a little sad around the edges?

Will this day ever end? Is it weird to shave your legs on your lunch break? Do the people who saw you before lunch secretly judge you? Is disproportionate rage at the vending machine cause for dismissal? Is this humidity a personal affront from the Lord? If I doze off in my cubicle, would anyone really notice? Do you think Jon Stewart's marriage is happy? Does this dress make me look like a sofa?

No one?

I'll ask the rear admiral.

I am a work in progress. I perpetually need a hair cut. I'm totally devoted to my remarkable nieces and nephew. I am an elementary home cook and a magazine worker bee. (Please criticize my syntax and spelling in the comments.) I think my dog is hilarious. I like chicken and spicy things. I have difficulty being a grown-up. Left to my own devices, I will eat enormous amounts of cheese snacks of all kinds.
